CVSRT vs Spine® Mountain Rescue Challenge 2017

On 14th January 2017, three intrepid members from CVSRT; Alistair Morris, Howard Barton and Jonothan Wright, will join fellow Mountain Rescue members to compete in the 2nd Montane Spine® Mountain Rescue Challenge 2017. There's unfinished business for Alistair and Howard who had to retire during last year’s race due to injury.
The Spine® Mountain Rescue Challenge is a 108 miles non-stop race between Edale in the Peak District, to Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales following The Pennine Way. It will run along side the Spine® Challenger and the much longer Spine® Race, which covers the entire 268 miles of The Pennine Way - dubbed ‘Britain’s Most Brutal Race’.
All funds raised from CVSRT's involvement in this challenge will go directly towards replacing the teams incident control vehicle, Calder Mobile 4 which is due to be replaced in 2017.
