HRH The Prince of Wales opens new emergency services station

On Thursday the 15th February HRH The Prince of Wales officially opened the new emergency services station in Barnard Castle, County Durham.
The facility, known as the 'quad station', is home to Fire & Rescue, Police, Ambulance and Mountain Rescue, the first of its kind in the country.
Teesdale & Weardale Search & Mountain Rescue Team keeps one of its two Landrovers here along with their water rescue trailer and also has an office, a briefing room and other shared facilities.
Prince Charles met with members of all the emergency services and was introduced to several members of TWSMRT, including search dogs, and was shown inside the team's new control vehicle before making a short speech and unveiling a plaque commemorating his visit and official opening.
