Issue 35 Mountain Rescue January 2011
The focus returned to avalanches for this winter issue, with David Monteith’s story of his own ‘chance in a million’ avalanche rescue and survival in Scotland. And there was a lot of snow and wintery stuff from IKAR 2010 too. In caving, Piers Hallihan looked at making SARMAN work for cave rescue and Bill Whitehouse reported on a tragic cave rescue operation in France. John Gordon continued to look at the shaping of the mountain landscape in Scotland. Plus all the usual news and views from around the regions. Oh and we were back to 60 pages.
