In early April, nine students from Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor, Dolgellau campus undertook a two day fundraising walk along the Mary Jones Trail which runs from Llanfihangel y Pennant to Bala.

The Students, following Foundation Degree in Outdoor Recreation and BTEC Extended Diploma in Outdoor Adventure courses, decided to raise money for the Aberdyfi Mountain Rescue team as part of their sponsored challenge.

During a recent get-together, members of the Rescue Team met with staff and students to discuss their experiences of the wet and windy trek, and were very pleased to be presented with a cheque for £300 raised by the event.
