Issue 22 Mountain Rescue October 2007

Reports from the south west and the Peak District on serious flooding in Gloucestershire and Sheffield – not the first flood rescue operations for mountain rescue and most definitely not the last but a gradual dawning that we needed to kit up and train up to support our communities at such times. Following on from the last issue, we took a look at cave rescue before 1959 and the tragic death of Neil Moss. And, on a lighter note, we had a report on our first trip to the polo, courtesy of our Royal patron, HRH The Duke of Cambridge. Chin chin! Oh and we dropped the ‘magazine’ from our masthead, now trading as simply ‘Mountain Rescue’!
