Issue 57 Mountain Rescue Summer 2016

Peer review continued apace with a report from Bowland Pennine on theirs. John Hulse looked at the ‘downwash issue’ when dealing with the new helicopters, Mike Margeson and Paul Witheridge reported on the re-imagining of the Bell stretcher and Paul Taylor practised with the Larkin Frame, a new piece of kit for cave rescue. Our annual trips to the polo continued to bring in valuable funds, thanks to our Royal patron and we heard how one new sponsor had the potential for game-changing support to mountain rescue. Plus a wealth of news and views from around the regions and beyond.
