MR Mag Spring 2017

Issue 60 Mountain Rescue Spring 2017

Lyle Brotherton led us through the dark with some winter navigation, Judy Whiteside explained where the benevolent had come from and where it hoped to be, George McEwan explained how best not to get into a rope tangle on stances, and Lake District dogsbody Peter Sapsford talked about the fun of getting lost and found in the winter snow with the Lakes dogs. As Sally Seed focused her PR-advice on dealing with the TV companies, Central Beacons continued to grace our screens as a BBC ident (as of 2020, they still do!!), getting the mountain rescue logo and ‘brand’ in front of the nation on a surprisingly regular basis.
