Dr Steve Rowe

Panel Discussion: The Sustainability of Mountain Rescue:

A consultant in anaesthesia and major trauma at the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield, South Yorkshire’s Major Trauma Centre, Steve is also a HEMS doctor with Yorkshire Air Ambulance. His interests in work include major trauma, emergencies and burns anaesthesia and he has flown with the air ambulance since 2009, providing pre-hospital care throughout Yorkshire and surrounding areas.

He joined Edale MRT over twenty years ago, whilst still a medical student. During that time he has participated in more than 1,000 rescues. He is also the team’s medical officer.
