COMRU

The Cumbria Ore Mines Rescue Unit (COMRU) is made up of mountain rescue team members, experienced cavers and mining enthusiasts, and deals specifically with mine rescue incidents. The group has an agreed responsibility to support Cumbria and the Lake District, Southern Scotland, Teesdale, Weardale, the North Lancashire border and the North Yorkshire border, however, they are often called to assist across the UK, including the Isle of Man.
